WIND TURBINE 200 TECHNOLOGICAL PACKAGE

The Wind Turbine 200 (WT 200) has been used within training activities performed for an educational center for industrial workers of Peru. As part of these project activities, teachers of this center received training on subjects as wind energy basics, identification of wind turbine components, sizing and selection of components of wind power systems, installation and maintenance of small windmills.

The Technological Package of the Wind Turbine 200 (WT 200), we offer, consists of a set of assembly  and manufacturing drawings and a technical manual where there are described procedures and techniques of manufacture and construction of the WT 200, illustrated with schemes and photographs.

It is supplied in PAPER VERSION and is available in ENGLISH or SPANISH at an affordable price.

The technological package contains information about the following turbine components:

  • Rotor (includes performance curves).

  • Permanent Magnet Generator (includes performance curves).

  • Turbine mainframe.

  • Tilt-up tower.

  • Electronic controller for battery charging (shunt type for 12V systems).

Other charge controllers as PWM algorithm based can also be used with the WT 200. In the manual there are also mentioned some commercial options available in the market of PWM charge controllers, inverters and batteries.

Computed performance curves of the wind rotor and PMG are provided, so you could be able to match the WT 200 rotor design with other generator, or you could match the WT 200 PMG design with other wind rotor or application as hydro.

Documents are shipped inside a Bubble Mailer. Shipping weight is about 0,460 kg.

We ship worldwide. Our WT 200 Technological Package has been acquired by clients from various countries as USA, Ethiopia, England, Peru, Estonia, Ecuador, Lebanon, Chile and Vietnam.

Contents of manual, list of drawings, turbine specifications, performance curves and some installations of the WT 200 are shown below.

ESTIMATED MONTHLY ENERGY OUTPUT

Assumptions (Energy output may vary):
  • Inland sites, 300 m of altitude, wind frequency distribution by Rayleigh (k=2, Weibul distribution).

  • Wind speed measured at 10 m of height, wind turbine tower of 12 m.

  • Medium roughness terrains: low crops, low woods (Wind shear exponent = 0,20).

  • Constant voltage value of 12 or 24 VDC at battery bank.

  • No power losses in wires are considered.

Small Wind Power System
The next figure shows a scheme of a typical remote (off grid) wind energy system with its basic components as windmill, tower, charge controller, batteries, inverter and some sample electric loads.

Depending on wind resource, more hours of energy could be available or more electric equipments could be powered.
